Pavnar of extreme historical importance, is strategically located in the district of Wardha on the verge of the Dham river. It forms one of the most prehistoric colonies in the district and gets its name from a renowned Rajput King by name Pawan. Of the few attractions that can be found here, are the Gandhi Kuti and the Paramdham Ashram of Vinobaji. The latter is situated at a distance of 13 kms from the main land of Wardha. Nearest airport seems to be Nagpur, which is at a distance of 65 kms. Wardha forms the nearest rail head, at a distance of 12 kms. State Transport buses ply from Nagpur, Wardha to Pavnar.
